GAITHERSBURG – Polling conducted by Garin-Hart-Yang finds Congressman John K. Delaney (MD-6) with a 24 point lead in Maryland’s Sixth District race, despite two weeks of illegally coordinated Super PAC ads run by her husband in support of Republican Amie Hoeber.

Delaney leads Hoeber 58-34 in a head to head matchup. The Garin-Hart-Yang poll was conducted between September 29 and October 1 and surveyed 402 likely voters in Maryland’s Sixth District. The poll has a margin of error of 5 points. Delaney led Hoeber 59-31 in May.

“Sixth District voters are rejecting Amie Hoeber’s extreme positions and tuning out the illegal ads cooked up by her campaign and her husband’s Super PAC,” said Delaney spokesman Will McDonald. “Voters aren’t buying what Hoeber is selling because they know John Delaney is the best choice to fight for Marylanders, find bipartisan solutions and stand up for veterans and the middle class. Despite millions spent, over 70% of Republicans voted against her in the primary and since then she has failed to run a positive campaign and hasn’t gained any traction.”
